Do you like Greek dances and festivals? Learn to dance in Leros and join Greek festivals all over the world!
Zaharoula and Antonis will be your guides to the wonderful world of traditional Greek dancing and music. They will teach you the basic traditional dances (syrto, hasapiko, Zorba the Greek) and dances that the locals dance during the summer festivals.

Zaharoula Hatjikonstantinou, a graduate of the University of Athens specializing in Greek traditional dances, and Antonis Dallaris, an experienced dance teacher of local traditional dances, are a local couple who brought the traditional dance of Leros to the world. Their research of the local dance and music traditions uncovered lost gems of the Lerian popular culture.
For three decades, Zaharoula and Antonis have been teaching traditional dance to the residents and visitors of Leros! As a result, Leros is now considered a model of preserving the tradition from generation to generation. Zaharoula and Antonis are also experts in the traditional instruments tsabouna (Zacharoula) and lyra (Antonis).

Roula Hadjikonstantinou
Traditional dance/Music Workshop
Roula is a traditional Greek dances teacher by training. For the past 30 years she has been the head dance teacher at the Research and Development Center of Culture of Leros “ARTEMI”. She has visited numerus Greek and foreign institutions and associations in all 5 continents, teaching the traditional dances of Greece. Roula is an active researcher of the traditional music and dance of the Dodecanese islands, where Leros is situated. She will welcome you in her studio, you will discuss the basics of traditional island music and dance, and then you will learn how to dance like a local!
